Metrotown (also known as Metropolis) is a three-story shopping mall complex in Metrotown, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. With 27 million annual visitors, it is the largest mall in British Columbia and the third-largest in Canada, behind Alberta’s West Edmonton Mall and Ontario’s Square One Shopping Centre. The Metrotown station on the SkyTrain rapid transit system is direct across the street from the mall. Along Central Boulevard, the complex consists of three office buildings.
The Metropolis Mall in Metrotown is the second-biggest shopping mall in Canada and the largest in British Columbia. It’s no surprise that it’s so simple to get lost in there.
The town center is officially defined as being bounded west by Boundary Road (which includes Central Park) and on the south by Imperial Street.
On the east by Royal Oak Avenue and the north by a series of local streets (Thurston, Bond, Grange, and Dover streets), it covers 2.97 km2 (730 acres).
Except for properly identified or licensed service animals, no animals are allowed in the mall. Only specific exterior areas are permitted to smoke or use electronic cigarettes.
Hudson’s Bay, Walmart, Toys “R” Us, T & T Supermarket, Sport Chek, Indigo Books and Music, H&M, Old Navy, Real Canadian Superstore, Urban Behavior, Winners/HomeSense, Zara, Cineplex Cinemas, Uniqlo, and Muji are among the complex’s anchors.
Chipotle, Menchie’s, and Uncle Tetsu’s are among the restaurants in the food court.
